The very word invokes thoughts that one who is naive is simple, lacks understanding, or perhaps even too ill-equipped to know what is happening to or around them.
While this may be true to some degree, I argue that a certain amount of child-like naivete is almost essential to surviving in a world full of haters.
I believe one can be keenly or acutely aware of their environment, surroundings, or circumstances, yet still simple enough to intentionally filter out the negative nonsense that comes our way on a daily basis.
Although I consider myself to be fairly intelligent, I’ll admit that my offense mechanism of choice is to implement mild amounts of simplicity into my life daily. It’s much easier to love others when you don’t have to carry the weight of their negativity on your shoulders.
I’ll take passively happy than actively angry any time, any day.
Live and love on purpose today, friends.
